New Media Review

DVD Done Right: Community Season One

NBC's Community, created by Dan Harmon, first season came out on DVD yesterday, and it is quite the good package if you are a fan of the show. I won't go on about how great the writing is, how many great movie and TV references there are, the great cast, etc etc... and sorry, I popped in the DVD while writing this and got distracted watching an episode.

Where was I? Oh yeah, the DVD has 25 episodes, each with commentary, and a good amount of extra features. I really don't know how to say how much I'm enjoying the DVD set without sounding like a press release. Let me put it this way, with Netflix and Hulu, I buy about one DVD a year, and this is one of them.

Finally, a blog about some random guy's personal opinions about all sorts of different kind of media! Featuring improper grammar and sentences that just don't seem to read that well. I plan on covering old and new media, but I'll be focusing more on the newer stuff. So I won't be covering newspapers much, and I'll probably mention podcasts and video games much more. Alright enough with this sorry attempt at a mission statement, let's get to it.

Hey there, thought I would start up a blog to talk about the world of New Media. I probably won't keep you super up to date on every breaking story coming out, but I will tell you what's worth paying attention to, speculate on what's coming, and tell you what I think the media companies should be doing.
